Welcome
I live in Herefordshire, England and started taking a serious interest in photography a few years ago.
Preferring film to digital, I process and print all my monochrome images in a conventional wet darkroom at home (when my day job allows time)
My primary interest is in landscape photography. I love the Scottish and Welsh landscape and am often drawn back to Dartmoor in Devon where I grew up.
I particularly admire the work of British landscape photographers Fay Godwin and Charlie Waite amongst others, not forgetting Ansell Adams whose exhibition Ansell Adams at 100 in 2002 inspired me to get started. I currently work in 35mm but may consider moving to a larger format in the future. Having developed the ability to ‘see’ in black and white over the last few years, I have been pleased recently with the results from colour transparency film, watch this space for a colour page in the near future.
